Tipton, Phillips Prevail on Motion to Compel Arbitration
November 03, 2009.Senith Tipton and Michael Phillips received a favorable ruling in Jones County Circuit Court recently in Drennan v. Liberty Community Living Center.
Representing a nursing home where the resident's responsible party executed an arbitration agreement, Ms. Tipton and Mr. Phillips filed a motion to compel arbitration. After plaintiff objected, the issues were briefed and the court ruled in the defendant's favor and entered an order compelling arbitration and staying the lawsuit.
